Danceblue was one of the most challenging and most amazing experiences of my life. 24 hours of dancing, no sitting AT ALL, to support pediatric cancer research FTK (for the kids).
605 Dancers, 24 hours, $600,888.82 raised for pediatric cancer research and the UK oncology center.
I didn’t take my camera because I didn’t want to dance with it so I borrowed Flynn’s digital camera. These aren’t the highest quality but they are from a dancers perspective, just a small glimpse into the experience and I wanted to share them. It was a day that could change your life. I was SO proud to be apart of it and I made it then entire 24 hours!!! Enjoy. :]

The assignment for my photojournalism class this week is environmental portraits, so I went out and about and snapped some. Let me know what you think. :]

I hadn’t shot in awhile (as you can see from the like 2 straight weeks of pictures from my sidekick on photo a day) so I went to Project Catwalk held by the student activities board to A. Take pictures and B. see what talents UK students have (i’m a huge project runway fan) :]
The project for Catwalk was to design an outfit inspired by a different city from around the world, the cities represented below (in order) are Tokyo, Japan, New York City, New York, and Dublin, Ireland.
So, here’s a little of what I came out with.

Ok, so these pictures require a little background information.
My mom is redoing the kitchen at their house and she wants a picture of our cat to hang near the door, she wants the idea to be “sharing a glass of wine with friends” so she wanted a picture of Gus (the cat) with his head is a glass licking up wine. This is hilarious because Gus is apparently more into beer or something, because he puts both his paws on the glass and pushes it away, and gives the most most “WTF is this” kind of stare. It’s wonderful. The following pictures are failed attempts at achieving kitchen art, but Gus is such a model I wanted to share them anyway. :]

and a few more, because he’s a stud. :]
